		Teleconferences The Stark Diabetes Center conducts conferences and continuing medical education programs using telehealth technology. The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston (UTMB) is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians. UTMB designates this continuing medical education activity for up to one (1) hour of credit in Category I of the Physician's Recognition Award of the American Medical Association. Each physician should claim only those hours of credit actually spent in the educational activity. This program (#2004-00016) has also been approved by an American Association of Critical-Care Nurses (AACN) – approved provider (#11695) under established AACN guidelines for 1.2 contact hour, CERP Category A.
